Then, making use of the Passion Semiotics theory and its methods of analysis, we try to sketch a reasoning line capable of a contribution for a study of the personage, in its specificities as a being-language.

Entendendo a personagem como uma unidade difusa de significação, construída progressivamente pela narrativa, sendo dela, portanto, parte decorrente e inerente, este artigo pretende propor uma reflexão sobre o processo de construção da subjetividade dos seres verbais, que resulta em uma estrutura complexa e autônoma, que confunde o leitor quanto às barreiras que separam ficção e realidade. Assim, utilizando a teoria e os métodos de análise propostos pela semiótica das paixões, esboçamos uma linha de raciocínio capaz de colaborar para um estudo da personagem em suas especificidades de ser-linguagem.
