| Sumario: | This article analyzes the first step of the burial rite developed by a young group of the periphery from Bucaramanga from the point of view of the Semiotics of Discourse. The first step refers to the first encounter between the assassinated person, who is in the coffin, and his partners at the cemetery entrance. This analysis is based on the concepts related to the sensoriality and perception as the conditions for meaning of the rite.
