description This article seeks to show the importance of the Semiotics as field of analysis in the field of the Mathematical Education. In the perspective of the Semiotics, the research carried out by Miskulin, Moura & Silva (2003), approaches the study of the semiotics potentialities of the environment TelEduc in the concept’s representation. Mendes (2006), investigated the strategies utilized in the process of mathematical problems resolution, created by the structure, action and pedagogical mediation with the game computational Simcity 4. O presente artigo busca mostrar a importância da Semiótica como campo de análise no campo da Educação Matemática. Para tanto, são apresentados excertos de duas pesquisas realizadas em programas de Pós-graduação em Educação e Educação Matemática. Assim, na perspectivada Semiótica, a pesquisa realizada por Miskulin, Moura & Silva (2003), aborda o estudo das potencialidades semióticas do ambiente Teleduc na representatividade de conceitos.
