| Sumario: | Resumo O presente texto visa discutir a questão do patrimônio material, imaterial e dos bens culturais a partir da ótica do tangível e do intangível, o que implica diferentes percepções acerca do mesmo e, também, em diferentes graus de responsabilidade para com eles. Nesse sentido, o que se busca com o presente texto é discutir o modo como as pessoas e o Estado de uma maneira geral se relacionam com a questão do patrimônio cultural em função de diferentes referentes e do grau de presença que este possui no quotidiano. Da mesma forma, argumenta-se que quanto maior o grau de presença de determinado "bem", seja ele cultural, histórico etc. no imaginário social e na vida das pessoas, maior sua tangibilidade e, portanto, maior a sua incidência perceptiva, de modo que ele obterá tratamento diferenciado tanto por parte das pessoas que o consideram como um lugar de memória quanto pelo Estado que o elevará a um status diferenciado a partir de seu reconhecimento legal e, quando for o caso, seu tombamento. Portanto, discutir esse "fazer ver-se" e o modo como determinados lugares e/ou costumes assumem um status maior do que outros é o objetivo deste texto. Palavras-chave Patrimônio Material e Imaterial. Abstract This paper aims to discuss the matter of material and immaterial heritage, and cultural assets from the perspective of the tangible and intangible which implies different perceptions of it and also, varying degrees of responsibility for them. In this sense, what is sought with this paper is to discuss how people and the state in general relate to the issue of cultural heritage according to different references and from the degree of presence that this has on everyday life. Likewise, it is argued that the greater the degree of presence of certain "good", being it cultural, historical etc. in the social imaginary and in people's lives, the greater its tangibility and therefore the greater the incidence perceptive so it will get treated differently both by people who consider it as a place of memory as the state which will raise a different status from their legal recognition and, where applicable, their official declaration as heritage. Therefore discussing this "process of being seen" and how certain places and / or customs assume a superior status than others is the goal of this text. Keywords Material and Immaterial Heritage.
