El artículo analiza la música de carnaval de los años 1920 a 1970, centrándose en las composiciones conocidas como música de carnaval que tienen que ver con la crítica de la vida cotidiana. Reflexionó sobre la cuestión de la marcha a la luz del reconocimiento al igual que los momentos de escapismo o social, pertenencia a un universo más amplio de la reflexión y el cambio en la sociedad a través de la instigación de comportamientos a través de sus letras transgresoras y memorables. O artigo faz uma análise da musicalidade do carnaval carioca entre as décadas de 1920 e 1970, concentrando-se nas composições conhecidas como marchinhas carnavalescas que tratam sobre a crítica do cotidiano.
