Este artigo é uma tentativa de balanço dos dez anos de um ciclo importante de lutas organizadas por movimentos sociais em Belo Horizonte. Ao longo desse tempo, os movimentos transformaram- -se, ampliaram suas pautas para além do direito à moradia e assumiram estratégias de luta ampliada pelo direito à cidade – e contra o processo recente de neoliberalização da gestão municipal – que tomaram principalmente a forma de ocupações organizadas.
