Este artículo versa sobre procesos de acumulación de ventajas y desventajas en trayectorias de movilidad social tomando en consideración el género. Para indagar cómo las trayectorias de clase obrera en el Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires son moldeadas por el género en términos de acumulación de (des)ventajas, se realizaron entrevistas biográficas a personas de distintos orígenes sociales dentro de la clase obrera. Las familias con situaciones más estables pudieron transmitir recursos variados que hicieron más probables las espirales de acumulación de ventajas.
