El presente articulo analiza la presencia de cinco de los más prominentes comerciantes cusqueños a fines del siglo XVIII. Todos ellos demostraron tener algunos rasgos en común, como sus orígenes peninsulares y sus inversiones en la producción de azúcar y de ropa de la tierra. Además, todos ellos abastecían el mercado Altoperuano y proveían mercancías al corregidor para su reparto.
