Neste artigo, examinamos as determinações em que emergiram os movimentos de natureza socialista nos Estados Unidos da América a partir da Revolução de Outubro de 1917. Apresentamos, a grosso modo, as formas de organização e perspectivas dos movimentos sociais, sindicatos e partidos, a saber: a luta contra o racismo, a discriminação racial e a tentativa de superação da ordem do capital.
