Sumario:From the 1870s, some projects covering the possibility of alternative political organization in Brazil have being designed. They faced the challenge of thinking about a practicable nation with a crossbred population an a local adverse weather. Its ideologists proposed the construction of a "pátria paulista", the subject of analysis of this article.
