Due to his vast intellectual production, it would be impossible to fully address this topic in this space, thus, we chose to highlight a personal selection of printed works and projects considered seminal and representative for this approach. It is noteworthy that the task of making this choice was not easy due to the magnitude and scope of the work left by him, with his unique performance on various fronts and approaches to the socio-environmental theme in its different dimensions. However, our choice is centered on the constitution of the socio-environmental dimension from the Social Sciences, for which he has offered important theoretical contributions in recent decades, serving as the basis for numerous works, research projects, training of academics and the consolidation of a privileged space of action that remains until today as a reference of this tradition, which is the Center for Environmental Studies and Research – NEPAM – at UNICAMP, of which he was one of the founders and coordinator in the period from 1991 to 1997. |

El objetivo principal de este artículo es reflexionar sobre la contribución del trabajo pionero de Daniel Hogan a la consolidación de los estudios socioambientales en la Universidad Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Debido a su vasta producción intelectual, sería imposible abordar de manera integral este tema en este espacio, por lo que optamos por resaltar una selección personal de trabajos impresos y proyectos considerados seminales y representativos para este enfoque. Es de destacar que la tarea de tomar esta decisión no fue fácil debido a la magnitud y alcance del trabajo dejado por él, con su singular actuación en diversos frentes y enfoques de la temática socioambiental en sus diferentes dimensiones. Sin embargo, nuestra elección se centra en la constitución de la dimensión socioambiental desde las Ciencias Sociales, para lo cual ha ofrecido importantes aportes teóricos en las últimas décadas, sirviendo de base para numerosos trabajos, proyectos de investigación, formación de académicos y la consolidación de un espacio privilegiado de acción que permanece hasta hoy como referente de esta tradición, que es el Centro de Estudios e Investigaciones Ambientales - NEPAM - de la UNICAMP, del cual fue uno de los fundadores y coordinador en el período de 1991 a 1997. O presente artigo tem como objetivo primordial refletir sobre a contribuição do trabalho pioneiro de Daniel Hogan para a consolidação da temática socioambiental na Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Em função de sua vasta produção intelectual seria impossível abordá-la por completo neste espaço, desta forma, optou-se por destacar um recorte pessoal de obras impressas e projetos considerados seminais e representativos para esta abordagem. Ressalta-se que a tarefa de realizar essa escolha não foi fácil em função da magnitude e abrangência da obra deixada por ele, com sua atuação ímpar em várias frentes e abordagens sobre a temática socioambiental em suas diferentes dimensões.
