Este trabalho é parte de uma pesquisa sobre empreendedorismo, e em especial uma análise sobre o clássico “Inovação e espírito empreendedor” de Peter Drucker, ao qual apresenta o empreendedorismo como a mais importante inovação ou nova tecnologia da atualidade. Diferente do senso comum, empreender não é uma pré-disposição para correr riscos e sim um cálculo de oportunidades. Drucker caracteriza o empreendedor como um ativista em busca do aumento de produtividade, independente da localização deste nas relações sociais produtivas, compromissado com o desenvolvimento do capitalismo.
