Sumario:The purpose of this article is to recover the relevance of a text , “A Tendency of Art and Life. Notes on Futurism”, by Juan Mas y Pi, that has been systematically ignored by critics, even though it is an integral part of the textual corpus that the Marinetti's movement generated in Latin America. I also propose that his contribution is not merely a passive comment adhering to the Futurist movement.  As I will advocate, it is a programmatic text that puts forward an aesthetic way of thinking based on the union between art and life. Due to being articulated in a complex cultural plot, his work has been unjustly neglected despite its historical and critical significance.
