Sumario:It was used hemeroby concept (the energy and technological dependence on the maintenance of the landscapes) to study landscape evolution in Santa Felicidade neighborhood (Curitiba-PR). Aerial photos from 1957 and 1972 and satellite images from Google Earth software from 2007 and 2009-12 were interpreted in GIS (Geographic Information System) allowing classification and mapping of landscapes hemeroby at 1:10,000 scale. Seven classes of hemeroby were identified: lowest, very low, low, moderate, high, very high and maximum. The neighborhood hemeroby went, in less than 60 years, from low energy and technology dependence classes (lowest to low), with about 90% of the area, to the predominance of the higher classes (maximun to high) with more than 60% of neighborhood area in 2009-12. The remaining areas with hemeroby classes from minimal to low (30%) are increasingly fragmented and commitment of its ecological functions. The diachronic analysis of hemerobia maps showed that the conservation of ecological functions of the landscape was not a priority of the government in planning the occupation of the neighborhood.
