The aspects of the environmental subjects analysed throughout the text show how complex this issue is and indicate some research possibilities O presente trabalho objetiva analisar de forma crítica o papel das ONGs ambientalistas brasileiras, tanto no ámbito nacional como no internacional, no período pós-Rio 92. Trata-se de um tema de difícil abordagem face à grande diversidade das entidades, marcadas por um ampio espectro ideológico, por diferentes interesses muitas vezes antagónicos -, e por distintos graus de interlocução, tanto com as comunidades locais quanto com os órgãos governamentais e agências transnacionais de cooperação.
