Para o autor, a obra de arte é, em última análise, a fundação do mundo, revelando o ser no espaço aberto pela obra enquanto obra. Neste sentido, a geograficidade, enquanto espaço primitivo essencial, ligado ao mundo prepredicativo, o mundo da vida husserliano, é revelada na mesma abertura, criada pelo espaço primitivo que se abre para o mundo e, a partir do lugar, outorga o espaço para a manifestação e a existência do ser geográfico.
