A dinâmica climática se constitui instrumento estratégico no planejamento de políticas de uma determinada região; como o disciplinamento do uso do solo, prevenção de enchentes, cenários de demanda agrícolas entre outros. Esta dinâmica pode ser investigada através dos efeitos orográficos. Com intuito de minimizar as lacunas, a respeito do tema, na planície litorânea nordestina, este trabalho avaliou os efeitos da orografia nos índices pluviométricos da porção norte-litorânea do estado de Alagoas, para isto fez-se uso dos módulos do ArcGIS e dados da Agência Nacional das Águas.
