So, the purpose of this text is to comment some tries to define geographical space and, in the end, propose our own concept. We understand that geographical space is the continuous result of social-spatial relations and these relations are economical (society-space relation through work), political (society-State relation or relations between National States) and cultural/symbolic (society-space relation through language and imaginary). Desde o seu surgimento como ciência moderna, a Geografia enfrenta problemas epistemológicos e conceituais. É o caso da definição do seu objeto de estudo: o espaço geográfico. Apesar dos avanços dos últimos anos, ainda há discordâncias teóricas a esse respeito. Assim, este texto tem por objetivo comentar alguns esforços de definição do conceito de espaço geográfico e ao final propomos o nosso próprio conceito.
