Sumario:This work analyzes the main features of the urbanization process in the region that extends from the lower course of the Açu River (RN) to the lower course of the Jaguaribe River (CE). It analyzes the factors that influence the dynamic global agribusiness, although not the only vector, has been promoting for the intensification of urbanization and economic growth of local and medium-sized cities. We are interested in understanding from this the new territorial arrangements that are organized in Northeast of Brazil. Thus, this study analyzes and discusses the socio-spatial processes resulting from the restructuring of agricultural production that contributes to the establishment of new configurations of production space, making the area between the lower course of the Jaguaribe River (CE) and the lower course of the Açu River (RN) a productive region, associated with fruit, and therefore a new bright spot in the northeast agricultural area.
