Through interviews with leaders and peasants and analysis of union, repression and journalistic documents, we sought to reconstruct the moment of the occupation and its meanings for the group of actors who occupied, linking the organizational strategies with the local and national contexts. By this way, an analysis of the strategies of enunciation and collective action of the peasants was built, highlighting the motivations and formative experiences, making it possible to highlight the role of resistance and organization of social categories that are often invisible. |

A fines de 1979, se ocuparon terrenos en la finca São José da Boa Morte, en Cachoeiras de Macacu (RJ), con la participación de la Unión y la Comisión Pastoral de Tierras. La finca ya había sido escenario de ocupaciones en 1961 y 1963, y su ocupación volvió a ser expresiva en un momento de redemocratización en Brasil. A través de entrevistas con líderes y campesinos y análisis de documentos sindicales, represivos y periodísticos, se buscó reconstruir el momento de la ocupación y sus significados para el grupo de actores que la llevaron a cabo, vinculando las estrategias organizativas con los contextos locales y nacionales. Para ello, se construyó un análisis de las estrategias de enunciación y acción colectiva de los campesinos, enfatizando las motivaciones y experiencias formativas, permitiendo enfatizar el papel de la resistencia y la organización de categorías sociales que muchas veces son invisibles. Em fins de 1979 foi realizada uma ocupação de terra na fazenda São José da Boa Morte, em Cachoeiras de Macacu (RJ), com participação do Sindicato e da Comissão Pastoral da Terra. A fazenda já havia sido palco de ocupações em 1961 e 1963, sendo expressiva a sua ocupação mais uma vez em momento de redemocratização do Brasil. Através de entrevistas com lideranças e camponeses e análise de documentos sindicais, da repressão e jornalístico, buscou-se reconstituir o momento da ocupação e seus significados para o conjunto de atores que a realizaram, vinculando as estratégias de organização com os contextos local e nacional.
