Sumario: | This work analyses the emergence and consolidation of transnational corporations and their strategies for the combined elision of national legal systems, with emphasis on the impacts on labour precariousness articulated in a global-local framework. The performance of transnational corporations on the global stage has taken unimaginable proportions. Their articulation in sophisticated global production chains allows them to move smoothly between the regulatory gaps of different legal systems, in order to obtain environmental, taxation and social advantages, reducing costs and increasing profits. This practice results, within the scope of social elision, in the precariousness of labour relations, fully affecting human rights and human dignity.
