En esta ponencia, de carácter exploratorio, presentamos un debate teórico-conceptual sobre el neoliberalismo, demarcando algunas de sus características generales y, además, analizamos el contexto político en que tal programa económico es intensificado en Brasil a partir de 2016, delineando algunas de las implicaciones de ese proceso para la clase obrera. Palavras-chave: neoliberalismo, conservadorismo, necropolítica. O presente artigo, de caráter exploratório, pretende apresentar um debate teórico-conceitual acerca do neoliberalismo, demarcando algumas de suas características gerais e, além disso, analisar o contexto político em que tal programa econômico é intensificado no Brasil a partir do ano de 2016, delineando algumas das implicações desse processo para a classe trabalhadora.
