Este artículo plantea aproximaciones iniciales de una investigación en curso acerca de las memorias de las haciendas en la región indígena nahua de Zongolica, Veracruz. Indaga acerca de cómo el mundo de las haciendas se vuelve emblema de jerarquizaciones políticas y racializadas, así como de las relaciones interétnicas complejas que generan la violencia y los despojos sobre determinados sujetos para que se silencien y acepten. A partir de registros etnográficos y entrevistas a una diversidad de actores, analiza la ambigüedad en la que se tejen los recuerdos indígenas sobre las haciendas y la manera en que las mismas emergen y se silencian en el contexto actual de violencia y despojo territorial. Este artigo apresenta abordagens iniciais de uma investigação em andamento sobre as memórias das haciendas na região indígena Nahua de Zongolica, Veracruz. Investiga como o mundo das haciendas se torna um emblema das hierarquias políticas e racializadas, assim como das complexas relações interétnicas que geram essa violência e despojo sobre determinados sujeitos para que silenciem e aceitem.
