Este texto reflexiona sobre las técnicas y el proceso de producción de la imagen y su composición artística a la televisión digital en alta definición, mientras que existirán los dos formatos (4:3 y 16:9) hasta la desconexión de la señal analógica. Dentro de este período, los consumidores de la programación de televisión que tienen receptores analógicos continuarán viendo las imágenes en formato 4:3.
