El presente trabajo examina la representación de la Guerra civil española de 1936-1939 en la revista Sur a partir de la lectura de los números aparecidos durante los años del conflicto. El apoyo de Victoria Ocampo y el Grupo Sur a la legalidad republicana proporciona una perspectiva diferente para examinar la distancia que media entre las declaraciones de apoliticismo del órgano cultural y sus prácticas concretas.
