Este trabajo aborda el tema de la familia y la sexualidad en la tradición nacionalista argentina. Se pregunta por las estrategias prácticas y discursivas que desde el nacionalismo se difundieron en la sociedad con el objeto de reproducir el orden social. Estas estrategias remiten a la difusión de determinados valores que exaltan la virilidad masculina, el matrimonio enmarcado en los rituales cristianos y la familia. El culto nacionalista a la femineidad enfatizaba la pasividad y un sentido mariano de la maternidad.
