Formar investigadores es una prioridad dentro de las ciencias sociales, humanas y de la conducta. Sin embargo, alfabetizar científicamente a los estudiantes no es tarea fácil, ya que deben mostrar las habilidades de pensamiento necesarias para alcanzar la debida racionalidad dentro de sus investigaciones. Aunado a ello, actualmente existe confusión en el abordaje de los paradigmas y matrices epistémicas que condicionan la delimitación de los fenómenos objeto de estudio, vistos ahora desde la complejidad y la pluralidad teórico-metodológica.
