A partir de la lectura de una serie de atribuciones erróneas que atraviesa tres ensayos de Ricardo Piglia sobre Macedonio Fernández, este artículo sugiere una hipótesis sobre los alcances de la estrategia de "ficcionalización de la crítica" que caracteriza la ensayística de Piglia y ensaya una evaluación de la reducción, que se opera en ésta, del acontecimiento de la ficción a un efecto de falsificación previsto por una instancia autorial.
