El trabajo analiza una serie de crónicas y fotografías del entresiglos puertorriqueño (XIX-XX), llevadas a la escena pública internacional cuando, en virtud del Tratado de París que puso fin a la Guerra Hispanoamericana, la isla deja de ser colonia española y se convierte en posesión de los Estados Unidos.
