El desarrollo de las denominaciones de origen (DO) de los vinos es uno de los temas pendientes en la industria vitiviní­cola de Argentina y de Chile. Dada la fuerte tendencia a la concentración de la industria del vino en estos dos paí­ses, es relevante estudiar las DO pues representan un mecanismo adecuado para reducir la brecha y favorecer las posibilidades de las pymes. ¿Por qué no se han desarrollado las DO en Argentina y Chile?
