Descripción
Sumario:The objective of this work is to approach to the knowledge of the cultural intermediaries who inhabited the Buenos Aires frontier on the first half of XIX century. The election of this period is based on the complex interethnic relation which existed at the time, and that derived, on the late 1820s, in the application of a very particular indigenous policy by Buenos Aires government. This took, on one hand, to the establishment of native groups within the provincial space and, on the other hand, to the establishment of alliances with other groups. The daily and constant interethnic relations that had to be carried out as a result of this process, produced the apparition of a great number of ";intermediary"; characters.
