O presente trabalho investiga a legislação acerca das férias em alguns dos países-membros da OIT, e mais especificamente no Brasil. Se buscará compreender como alguns desses países ocidentais trataram do tema e como ele surgiu no Brasil em meados dos anos 1920. Em um primeiro momento se descreverá a conjuntura na qual surge a OIT e suas resoluções, passando pela aprovação de leis de férias em diversos locais.
