El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar algunos de los saberes, las prácticas y las estrategias judiciales que distintos comerciantes pusieron en juego dentro del fuero consular. Estos provenían en buena medida de la propia actividad comercial, por lo que los consideramos como una extensión de su función económica como comerciantes. Tomaremos aquí las trayectorias de dos comerciantes porteños de reconocimiento en la plaza porteña, que ocuparon, en distintos momentos, cargos de importancia dentro del Consulado porteño.
