description Based on recent research about the dinamic of the non-wine fruit and vegetable industry in the province of Mendoza, we reflect on the situation of work and local production. Changes in macroeconomic policy (monetary circulation, exchange and interest rates), trade liberalization (deregulation of imports of products similar to the ones produce in the regional economy) and the situation of the main trading partner countries, particularly buyers of products from agricultural origin in Mendoza (Brazil and the United States) are conditioning exchange and the continuity in the local production. The prevalence of the logic of large distribution chains subjugate the conditions of such exchange, obstructing other distribution and marketing channels (which means, difficults the process of valorization). This logic is causing serious troubles in the reproduction of agroindustrial producers and smes from Mendoza. We aim to evidence that the strategies followed by them, deteriorate sources of employment and substantials areas of territorial production. The methodology follow is based on secondary data, documentary analysis and the collection of testimonies of workers, producers and businessmen.

A partir de una serie de indagaciones sobre la situación de la agroindustria no vitivinícola en la provincia de Mendoza, reflexionamos sobre la problemática situación del trabajo y la producción local. Los recientes cambios en materia macroeconómica (circulación monetaria, tipo de cambio y tasas de interés), en la política de apertura comercial (desregulación de las importaciones de productos similares a los de la economía regional mendocina) y la situación de los países socios comerciales principales demandantes de productos de origen agrícola mendocinos (como Brasil y Estados Unidos) repercuten en las condiciones de intercambio y la continuidad en materia productiva local. La prevalencia de la lógica de las grandes cadenas de distribución copan (en el sentido de subyugar) las condiciones de dicho intercambio, obstruyendo otras vías de distribución y comercialización (en definitiva, de valorización). Esta lógica está ocasionando serias dificultades en la reproducción de los productores y mipymes agroindustriales mendocinas. Buscamos evidenciar que, en las estrategias seguidas por éstas para su sobrevivencia, caen y/o se deterioran gran cantidad de puestos de trabajo y de ámbitos / espacios de producción con arraigo territorial. La metodología se basa en análisis de datos secundarios, análisis documental y de testimonios de trabajadores, referentes productores y empresarios. Com base em uma série de indagações sobre a situação do agronegócio não-vinícola na província de Mendoza, refletimos sobre a situação problemática do trabalho e da produção local. As recentes mudanças nas questões macroeconômicas (circulação de dinheiro, taxa de câmbio e taxas de juros), na política de liberalização do comércio (desregulamentação das importações de produtos similares aos da economia regional de Mendoza) e a situação dos principais países parceiros comerciais Os solicitantes de produtos de origem agrícola em Mendoza (como o Brasil e os Estados Unidos) têm impacto nas condições de troca e continuidade em questões produtivas locais. A prevalência da lógica das grandes cadeias de distribuição copan (no sentido de subjugar) as condições de tal troca, obstruindo outros canais de distribuição e comercialização (enfim, valorização). Essa lógica está causando sérias dificuldades na reprodução de produtores agroindustriais e mipymes de Mendoza. Buscamos mostrar que, nas estratégias seguidas por estes para sua sobrevivência, caem e / ou deterioram grande número de empregos e áreas / espaços de produção com raízes territoriais.
