La gratuidad y la inmediatez del flujo de datos ha permitido que se produzca una diversificación temática y una transformación estructural de los textos históricos. A su vez, la evolución digital de los soportes ha hecho posible que se incorpore un mayor número de escritores y lectores al proceso comunicativo. La profesora Bernárdez Rodal realiza una interesante interpretación de dichos cambios a nivel socio-cultural, planteando una amplia casuística y tomando como punto de referencia la hipertextualidad y la superposición de narrativas históricas en Internet.
