Este trabajo reúne un conjunto de reflexiones respecto de los sentidos e identificaciones que las familias con historia de migración desde Bolivia que se dedican a la horticultura en el Gran La Plata construyen sobre ser joven. A través de un trabajo etnográfico mediante observación participante y entrevistas en profundidad semiestructuradas se concluyó que, ser joven es horticultear mientras se estudia, que es la principal actividad en dicho momento de la vida. En tanto que, ser adulto/a es ser horticultor/a puesto que el trabajo en la quinta reviste la mayor preocupación.
