Este trabajo surge como respuesta a las inquietudes sobre problemas para abordaje de la “Economía Popular” como objeto de estudio en la investigación en Ciencias Sociales. La economía popular, social o solidaria es un objeto transdisciplinar que toma categorías de varias disciplinas sociales que abordan problemas similares, pero que en ningún caso pueden confundirse. Así aparecen problemas al momento de operacionalizar conceptos teóricos en la medida en que conceptos como reproducción, capital y sujeto, poseen significados diferentes tanto en teorías distintas del mismo campo disciplinar como en disciplinas diferentes.
