Sumario:The objective of this article is to describe the impact of emotional intelligence as a managerial skill in organizations, strengthening their organizational culture, the motivation of their collaborators, their productivity and their overall success. The methodology proposed corresponds to a thorough systematic review of the concepts of managerial skills, emotional intelligence and leadership since their origins, and research lines related to this topic are proposed. As a result, the historical evolution of managerial skills and emotional intelligence has been influenced by several important theories and approaches over time. It is concluded that these two areas of study have undergone significant changes as the role of emotions in the business environment has been better understood and the importance of effective leadership skills has been recognized.
