Tomando en consideración los retos y desafíos que enfrentan las asociaciones dedicadas a la actividad agrícola y en específico a la piscícola, se plantean los factores que influyen en la toma de decisiones en unidades asociativas piscícolas, considerando las características organizacionales que desempeñan un papel fundamental en este proceso, en particular, la socialización de los miembros de estas unidades y la evaluación del entorno. A través de un enfoque cuantitativo y encuestas para recopilar datos de estas unidades asociativas piscícolas en el departamento de Sucre, Colombia, se obtuvo evidencia que la socialización de los miembros de las unidades piscícolas, así como la evaluación del entorno, desempeñan un papel crítico en la obtención de resultados organizaciones, específicamente en la toma de decisiones. Lo anterior proporciona una comprensión más profunda de cómo ciertas características organizacionales, en particular la socialización y la evaluación del entorno, influyen en la toma de decisiones de las unidades asociativas piscícolas complementando así los hallazgos de la literatura previa.
