La pandemia de Covid 19 ha ocasionado estragos en gran parte del mundo en materia económica, política y social, en este artículo se pretende analizar como consecuencias de la pandemia, la crisis de abastecimiento, el efecto en la seguridad alimentaria y la incidencia de los Puertos y los aspectos que la agravan, se hizo metodológicamente mediante la revisión de la literatura existente en la materia, se hace una recopilación de más de 50 documentos, para luego seleccionar una muestra y triangular la información, se ha encontrado que los factores logísticos como la ruptura de la cadena de suministro, los efectos del Covid 19 como pandemia mundial que ha incidido en frenar la producción de la industria manufacturera y cierre de puertos que movilizan gran parte de insumos alimentarios, unido a poco efecto en materia de políticas públicas y ordenanzas mundiales que hayan pasado del discurso a la acción y frenen o mitiguen el problema de la alimentación y por ende se convierta en seguridad alimentaria.
